Edukasi Kesehatan Reproduksi dan Peningkatan Pengetahuan Remaja Awal pada Lingkungan Madrasah: Studi Pre-Experimental

Early adolescence is a pubertal stage that requires adequate understanding of reproductive health; however, limited access to information leads to low levels of knowledge. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of reproductive health education in improving knowledge among early adolescents. The study used a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 28 students aged 10–14 years at MI Assalafiyah 02 Lebaksiu, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 10-item questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (p < 0.05). The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after the intervention. At pretest, most respondents were in the poor knowledge category (78.6%), while at posttest the majority improved to the good category (60.7%). The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference (Z = -4.754; p = 0.000), confirming the effectiveness of the intervention. This improvement occurred because health education delivered through lectures, discussions, and visual media enhanced understanding through active learning aligned with adolescents’ cognitive development. In conclusion, reproductive health education is effective in improving early adolescents’ knowledge and can be implemented as an educational strategy in elementary schools or madrasahs.
