Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competencies of primary school teachers in integrating Bugis–Makassar local wisdom into the teaching of Geometry, specifically two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. The program was conducted in Pangkep Regency through workshops, mentoring sessions, teaching demonstrations, and hands-on practice in developing culturally contextual lesson plans and instructional media. The results indicate significant improvements in teachers’ understanding, skills, and creativity in designing learning activities based on local culture. Furthermore, the program fostered stronger teacher motivation and encouraged the utilization of traditional cultural artifacts as concrete tools for mathematics instruction
