Peran Etos Produktif Qur’ani dalam Membangun Kemandirian Ekonomi Umat: Analisis Nilai Kompetensi dan Amanah

Abstract

Employment in Indonesia faces persistent challenges, particularly low labor productivity and weak workplace integrity. Addressing these issues requires strengthening work ethics that integrate technical competence with moral and spiritual values grounded in Islamic teachings. This study examines the role of the Qur’anic productive ethos in fostering economic independence by analyzing QS. Al-Qasas verse 26 and QS. At-Taubah verse 105. Using a qualitative library research approach, the study analyzes literature, tafsir, scientific journals, and other relevant sources. The findings indicate that the Qur’anic productive ethos is shaped by the synergy between competence (al-qawiyyu) and trustworthiness (al-amin), which together form the foundation of Islamic work productivity. Competence encompasses technical skills, expertise, and professionalism, while trustworthiness reflects integrity, responsibility, and honesty. From an Islamic perspective, productivity is measured not only by material outcomes but also by the validity of the process, social benefits, and the spiritual value of work as worship. Work is understood as an act of devotion to Allah SWT and as a means of promoting social welfare through equitable economic distribution. The implementation of the Qur’anic productive ethos can strengthen the quality of human resources, foster a culture of integrity, and support sustainable economic independence.
