Penguatan Kesadaran Kesehatan Lingkungan melalui Edukasi Sanitasi Air dan Pengelolaan Sampah pada Masyarakat Desa Pekauman Ulu

This outreach activity, titled "Educating the Importance of Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle Through Water Sanitation and Waste Management in Pekauman Ulu Village," aimed to provide the community with knowledge and awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The activity included registration, a welcome speech, presentation of material, a question-and-answer session, a conclusion, and the presentation of certificates and rewards to participants. The results of the pre-test and post-test analysis indicated that the learning provided was effective in improving participants' understanding of water sanitation, clean water, and household waste management. The most significant improvements occurred in understanding water sanitation and types and management of waste, while the topic of the impact of polluted water and waste on health and the environment showed smaller improvements because participants already had a fairly good initial understanding. Overall, there was an increase in understanding across all indicators studied, indicating the success of the learning material. Although further reinforcement through hands-on practice, case studies, and further emphasis on the health risks of polluted water and effective waste management strategies are needed to deepen participants' understanding and application.
