Efektivitas Edukasi Isi Piringku Terhadap Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Keluarga Pada Tahap Anak Usia Sekolah: A Literature Review

Adequate nutritional intake is essential during the school-age period as it plays a significant role in supporting optimal physical and cognitive development. However, ineffective family health maintenance often becomes a major barrier to achieving balanced nutrition, mainly due to limited parental knowledge regarding appropriate nutritional composition and food portion distribution for children. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of educational interventions using the “Isi Piringku” visual media in improving family health maintenance among school-age children. This research employed a literature review approach by examining and synthesizing several relevant national and international journal articles related to balanced nutrition education, family health maintenance, and the implementation of the “Isi Piringku” media. The selected articles were analyzed descriptively to identify the impact of educational strategies on family knowledge, attitudes, and practices in managing children’s dietary portions. The findings from the reviewed literature indicate that education using the “Isi Piringku” visual media can significantly improve family understanding of balanced nutrition and encourage greater independence in regulating appropriate food portions for school-age children. Furthermore, the use of visual educational media facilitates easier comprehension and application of balanced dietary guidelines in daily family practices. Therefore, the “Isi Piringku” educational media can be considered an effective strategy to enhance family health maintenance and support the achievement of balanced nutritional status among school-age children.
