Pengaruh Budaya Pesantren Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika pada Materi Pola Bilangan Siswa Kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 2 Jombang

Abstract

Islamic boarding school culture is assumed to shape students’ learning habits, discipline, and independence, which may affect mathematics learning outcomes. This study aimed to examine the effect of Islamic boarding school culture on students’ mathematics learning outcomes in number pattern material at MTs Negeri 2 Jombang using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The sample consisted of 182 students selected through simple random sampling from six classes. Data were collected using an Islamic boarding school culture questionnaire and a mathematics learning outcomes test, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression after prerequisite tests were conducted. The results showed that the mean score of Islamic boarding school culture was 99.05 out of a maximum score of 134, while the mean mathematics test score was 70.19 out of 100. Regression analysis indicated a significant effect of Islamic boarding school culture on mathematics learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.048 and a coefficient of determination of 2.2%. These findings indicate that Islamic boarding school culture has a significant but relatively low contribution to students’ mathematics learning outcomes.
