Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPA Materi Perubahan Wujud Benda melalui Media Kartu Sains pada Siswa Kelas III SD Negeri 003 Melak

Low science learning outcomes, especially on changes in the states of matter, are common among elementary school students due to limited engagement and low variation in teaching methods and media. This study aimed to improve science learning outcomes using science card media for third-grade students at SD Negeri 003 Melak through a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Seven students participated in the study, and data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. Success indicators were based on the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) of 75 and classical learning mastery of at least 85%. The results showed that science card media increased student engagement and provided a more concrete understanding of changes in the states of matter. Students’ average scores increased from 67.1 in the pre-cycle to 77.1 in Cycle I and 87.1 in Cycle II, while the percentage of students achieving mastery improved from 28.6% to 57.1% and finally 85.7%, meeting the success criteria. These findings indicate that implementing science card media can effectively enhance science learning outcomes and students’ understanding of abstract concepts. The study highlights the potential of manipulative and visual media in fostering active learning, motivation, and conceptual comprehension in elementary science education.
