Abstract

This study provides an in-depth description of Educare Disability, an application-based digital platform designed to support teachers’ competency development in understanding the characteristics of Students with Special Needs (SSN) and to strengthen inclusive education in the Industrial 5.0 era. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, focusing on the platform’s planning, design, and functional depiction based on field needs. Data were collected through a literature review, preliminary observations of teachers’ needs, and documentation of the application design process. The development results indicate that Educare Disability functions as an information center providing comprehensive materials on SSN types, characteristics, learning barriers, and appropriate instructional strategies. The platform also serves as a professional development medium through personality development content, learning videos, quizzes, and updated information on training and seminar opportunities. In addition, Educare Disability supports professional documentation through a digital portfolio that stores certificates, works, and professional achievements. Furthermore, the platform offers a collaboration space through an educational partnership feature that connects inclusive school teachers with special school (SLB) teachers and relevant experts.
