The rapid development of digital technology demands innovation in mathematics learning, particularly in the education of prospective elementary school teachers. Students of the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program are required to possess strong problem-solving skills in order to design meaningful mathematics learning for elementary students. This study aims to examine the implementation of a digital mathematics learning model based on local context in improving the problem-solving skills of PGSD students in Parepare. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design involving an experimental group and a control group. The results showed that the average problem-solving skill score of students in the experimental group increased from 62.45 to 82.30 with an N-gain of 0.56 (moderate–high category), while the control group increased from 61.80 to 70.15 with an N-gain of 0.28 (low–moderate category). The results of the t-test indicated a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the digital mathematics learning model based on local context has a positive and significant effect on improving the problem-solving skills of PGSD students in Parepare
